According to the management office of JYP Entertainment on the 26th, "Hollow" released by Stray Kids in Japan on the 18th sold 6 million copies in one day on the 17th, the day the pre-sale was posted.
The album sold over 10,000 copies, achieving a half-million seller status. The last time Stray Kids achieved a half-million seller status before the album was officially released in Japan was in 2020.
This is their second work, following their first EP "Social Path (feat. LiSA) / Super Bowl -Japanese ver.-" released in September 2013.
The album topped Billboard Japan's weekly album sales chart, Top Album Sales (June 16-22), with 730,000 copies sold.
It also ranked first in the latest Oricon weekly album rankings and weekly overall album rankings (June 16th to 22nd), announced on the 24th.
With this album, Stray Kids not only broke their own record in first week album sales, but also became the fourth K-POP 4th generation group to achieve this feat.
This year, only three artists in Japan have recorded sales of more than half a million copies in the first week of release, and only one foreign artist, Stratos, has achieved this feat.
This is my first time using "y Kids".
