The encore concert of BTS' J-HOPE (June 13th and 14th) and JIN's concert (
The two performances (June 28th and 29th) came to a close amidst a blazing heat. Goyang Special City provided smooth operation of public parking lots and traffic order during the two performances held in June, and was able to accommodate large-scale performances and
This contributed to improving the brand image of Goyang City. In preparation for the situation where a large number of spectators gather at once, the city stationed staff from the city's parking and traffic department and personnel from the Goyang Metropolitan Management Corporation at the performance site to ensure smooth departure and entry.
We made an effort to maintain order in the public parking lots by guiding people in and collecting parking fees. In particular, we opened up more temporary exit lanes to eliminate delays in leaving the parking lots, and we used mobile card terminals to guide people through quick payment of parking fees.
As a result, the concert generated revenue of 11.27 million won (approximately 1.17 million yen) over the four days it was held. This is said to be 57% of the total revenue from the public parking lot at the sports complex in May.
The city also cracked down on illegal taxi operations, such as charging foreign visitors high fares, soliciting customers, and luring them into joint rides. This was done to establish a healthy and orderly transportation culture, as well as to promote the safety of visitors.
This has contributed to improving Seoul's credibility as a global cultural city by providing convenience to its customers. A city official said, "Every time a performance is held, the staff stays on-site until late at night, and it is a pleasure to see the citizens returning home without any inconvenience.
"I felt a sense of responsibility and dedication from the staff on-site, which is why the performance was a success," he said.
