In the video released, DAY6's Sungjin and Wonpil revealed that when they were trainees at JYP Entertainment, they never expected to debut in a band.
Sungjin said, "I imagined a group like 2AM," but Wonpil surprised everyone by saying, "I predicted a group like 2PM."
Wonpil responded to Jang Do Yeong, who said, "The parallax is completely different," by saying, "At the beginning, we practiced acrobatics like the older guys in 2PM.
He confided, "I went around like a squirrel in a barrel," drawing attention.
He continued, "I feel very fortunate. I'm very happy that things have turned out this way."
He added with a laugh, "I felt like something was wrong." Wonpil, who was a former member of the middle school band, said, "I saw a live video of Coldplay for the first time when I was in my second year of high school.
"I was searching for and listening to band music, thinking, 'This is the kind of music a band can make, and this is the kind of performance they can put on,' and when I received the proposal to debut as a band, it felt really strange," he said.
On the other hand, Sungjin said, "I was so helpless. I was told to sing with the acoustic team while playing the djembe, but I couldn't. I couldn't use my body."
He said, "After I showed off my djembe and got rejected, he asked me to play the drums in a full band.
It seemed difficult to sing while playing the drums, so I suggested singing while playing the guitar.
"We decided to start with that," he said.
