Fashion magazine Harper's BAZAAR Korea has released a photoshoot with singer Hwasa.
Hwasa, who made a comeback with "Goodbye," has transformed into a short-haired girl, showing off her most casual and natural charm, unlike the charismatic and intense image she usually shows on stage.
In an interview after the photoshoot, when asked why she chose the ballad genre for this comeback, Hwasa replied, "This song is more like 'Ahn Hye-jin' (the real name) than 'Hwasa'."
"It's a song I sang as "Hwasa (name)." I poured my heart into the song as if I was writing a letter honestly as an individual, not as Hwasa on a glamorous stage."
Next, when asked what he struggled with the most while writing this song, he said, "I wondered, 'Why can't I write anything but this?'
I revised it hundreds of times. But then one day, at an unexpected moment, the words just started flowing out of me. Rather than exaggerated words, the words that just flowed naturally from within me seemed more true."
The line, "Parting will cause us pain, but it will be graceful. You will smile as loudly as I feel regret and anguish. Goodbye," is the most honest line in this song.
