He revealed that "Firstfruit" is the most important album for him, adding that the process of making the album allowed him to reflect on himself and take time to heal.
Regarding the album, MARK said, "If there's one thing that's really important to me, it's my solo album," and added, "My first solo album, 'The
Firstfruit is the story of my life, from my birth in Toronto, to my first move to New York, to Vancouver where I grew up,
"The time I spent making the album was a form of therapy in itself.
"I found healing in the process of reflecting on who I am and the life I've lived," he said, "Thanks to this album, I've come to know myself better and love myself more."
Regarding the process of writing lyrics amidst a busy schedule, MARK said, "I have to stay in a state of tension to keep writing lyrics, so I feel more pain.
He revealed, "Thirteen songs were recorded on the album, but I actually wrote far more than that, including songs that weren't recorded."
Regarding his recent appearance on the variety show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator Since 2014," MARK said, "It's not that I'm greedy for jokes, but it's really natural.
It was just a reaction. I'm glad if it was seen as humorous," he said, "I've never thought I was funny, and I wasn't trying to make people laugh on variety shows.
