TOP's Niel and INFINITE's SEONGJONG will appear in a joint Japanese-Korean variety show
The Korean company SAIDLITE produced the office commerce variety show "Dolkoma Shoji" as the opening program for the Japanese channel OCOTV.
The title "Dolcoma Shoji" is an abbreviation of the Japanese-style English pronunciation of "idol commerce" with the word "shoji" added. The aim of the title is to introduce the products of leading Korean companies and expand sales channels to Japan.
This program was created for this purpose. It is a reality comedy that moves back and forth between fiction and non-fiction, set in the familiar "office" space.
This program will feature Gyuri from KARA, who has been active in both Japan and Korea, and Block
B-BOMB from "B", NIEL from "TEEN TOP", and SEONGJONG from "INFINITE" will be appearing. They will be working in the office world of the "Marketing Department".
Each of the characters will play the role of company employee, such as "Manager Kyu," "Section Chief B-BOMB," "Niel's Deputy," and "Chief Song." The production team said, "'Dolkoma Corporation' will go beyond being just a variety show.
"This will be a signal flare for building a friendly relationship between the Korean Wave and the Japanese content industry," he said, adding, "We plan to present a new model for cultural exchange and collaboration between the two countries."
Meanwhile, the OCOTV channel is currently producing a variety of programs in a joint Japanese-Korean format and will launch next year.
