First, director Len Wiseman revealed the story behind casting Choi Suyeong. He said, "It was really fun. She's very proactive and well-prepared.
"I was able to do it. I didn't really know how famous she was," he confessed. In the film, Choi Suyeong plays Eve McCullough (Anna), a dance club ballerina and assassin.
She plays "Katra Park", a character who is protected by Choi Suyeong (played by Ana de Armas). Her co-star Ana de Armas said of Choi Suyeong, "She was really cute. She could do anything.
"She was really well prepared and it was really great. I'm really glad I got to perform with her," he said. When asked if she knew much about Girls' Generation or K-POP, she replied, "Actually, I don't know much about them."
It took about a week to film the dance club scene. I spent time hanging out with her during breaks in between filming. It was really fun."
The film "Ballerina," starring Choi Suyeong, was officially released in the US on the 6th and will be released in Japan in August.
