Choi Young-woo won the New Actor Award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards.

On the 18th, actor Choi Young-woo won the New Actor Award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards held at Paradise City in Incheon for his role in the Netflix series Trauma Code.

　Choi Young-woo, who received the Newcomer Actor Award trophy, said, “It is an honor just to be here, and I am grateful to have received an award that I will remember for the rest of my life.” He added, “I would like to thank all the viewers and fans who love me, allowing me to live as an actor rather than just a human being. I will do my best.”

　In “Trauma Code,” Choi Young-woo played the role of Yang Jae-won, the first disciple chosen by Baek Gang-hyuk (played by Chu Ji-hun) and an elite follower. As the central character driving the growth narrative throughout the work, he fought alone to save patients at every moment, transforming from a “proctologist” to “No. 1” and then to “Dr. Yang Jae-won,” evoking “Choi Young-woo fever.”

　In particular, Choi Young-woo seamlessly embodied the role of Yang Jae-won, showcasing a high level of character synchronization, and was praised for successfully transforming his acting style once again.

Meanwhile, Choi Young-woo is currently appearing in the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama “The Witch and the Star.”
