The terrifying teaser for the Korean horror film ”Inter-Floor Noise” is complete! The poster visual featuring a non-human ”something” has also arrived.
The Japanese release date for the Korean horror film "Inter-Floor Noise" has been set for Friday, October 10th, and it will be shown nationwide at Shinjuku Musashinokan, Human Trust Cinema Shibuya, and other theaters.
Bangs, bangs, rattles... These are everyday sounds we hear every day, but if you don't know where they come from, they can be considered "scary sounds" that can evoke a sense of dread.
If so... The term "inter-floor noise" is a Korean word that refers to the sounds of daily life (footsteps, voices, door opening and closing, household appliances, etc.) heard from the floors above and below in an apartment building.
The Korean horror film "Inter-Floor Noise," set in an old housing complex where noises of unknown origin reverberate, was released in Korea in June 2025. Immediately after its release, it went viral and became a hit in Korea.
It has been ranked number one among movies for three consecutive weeks, making it the most successful horror movie of the year to date! (As of August 15th) The 57th Sitges Catalogue, a world-renowned genre film awards,
Angel Sala Corbi, artistic director of the Near Film Festival, called it "the best jump scare of the year," and others have called it "a return of 'Dark Water'" and "a new masterpiece of Korean horror."
The film has received high praise. Director Kim Suzyn is a talented director who has won the Best Film Award in the "40,000 Blows" category at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival, and is known for her work on "The Wailing" and "Gongjia."
Park Yong-gi, who was the sound director for the TV series "The Potato Lab," has created a chilling sound like never before.
Lee Sun Bin plays the difficult role of a man who faces the terror brought about by mysterious noises while searching for his missing sister.
The role is played by Ryu Gyeong Su, who is currently gaining attention for her role in the hit TV series "Seoul Unknown" currently on Streaming on Netflix. The story is about a man named Seo Juyeon, who is deaf, who one day meets his younger sister Ji.
He is informed that Huhi has suddenly disappeared. The two used to live together, but Juhi started complaining about hearing noises, which Juyeon couldn't hear even with her hearing aids. This led to a disagreement and an argument.
When I entered the apartment in the apartment complex where Juhi lived, the ceiling was completely covered with soundproofing sheets. A neighbor came to visit me shortly after and said, "Please be quiet at night.
"If you make any more noise, I'll tear your mouth apart," he threatened. However, after Ju-hee disappeared, there was no one in the room... Ju-yeon decided to stay in the apartment complex until her sister was found.
He begins to hear strange sounds through his hearing aid, and soon begins to sense not just sounds, but the presence of something... Could these be related to his sister's disappearance, or...?
The teaser version released this time shows a horrifying scene in a narrow space, with Beethoven's masterpiece "Für Elise" playing as the ringtone.
When the focus shifts to the front door of the apartment complex where the story takes place, a cardboard box is posted with the message "Please be quiet" written all over it.
The movie has been No.1 for three consecutive weeks. While the theme of the movie is clear, "a hit movie with a sound-based apartment complex horror," the creepy ringtone continues to ring.
Juhi, a resident of the apartment complex, was the one who took the body, but after hearing a terrifying sound that seemed like it was not of this world, her screams echoed throughout the apartment complex...
The scene shifts and the hearing-impaired protagonist, Seo Juyeon, appears.
When he visits the room where the former resident was staying and searches for the missing former resident, he finds a black discolored area all over the floor. Furthermore, he hears noises and footsteps coming from the room on the upper floor where no one should be.
One after another, strange phenomena begin to appear, such as people coming into the house, a black figure appearing through the window, and a neighbor knocking on the door with a knife.
A mysterious boy appears before Joyeon, who is confronted by the sound of his hearing aid. The boy rips Joyeon's hearing aid off with such force that it makes her bleed, and warns her in sign language, "If you listen any more, you'll die."
The teaser scene, which changes key to Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5, Fate," is reaching its climax with the horrifying caption "93 minutes of 'scary noise' experience."
On the screen of the smartphone that is not being touched, the mysterious word "hee hee" appears, and creepy scenes such as a human foot stained with red blood, and a TV personality laughing in a distorted manner are displayed.
At the end of the teaser, a mysterious noise set at a certain frequency is heard along with the question, "Can you hear this sound?"
A faint sound can be heard. Is this sound the precursor of a spirit causing strange phenomena? Can you actually hear this sound? Play it and find out for yourself...
Note: The mosquito sound may be unpleasant if you listen to it for a long period of time. Although it is only a very short sound, please be careful if you are sensitive to the sound.
The poster visual that was also sent out has a look that evokes the floors of the housing complex.
The first half of the film shows the protagonist, Seo Juyeon, covering her mouth with her hand after witnessing a mysterious phenomenon. The second half shows a woman who appears to be her missing sister, Ju-hee, lying on a chair in a dark room.
The top row captures a creepy scene of a man standing and gazing out the window. The third row features a scene that leaves a quiet impact, with a mysterious man standing suspiciously outside the door.
The film uses scenes from the apartment complex that is the setting for the horror, and points out the fact that it is a "cursed apartment complex." If you look closely, you will also see four "somethings" that are not human, which is an interesting twist.
Director Kim Suzyn testified that she had heard mysterious sounds and supernatural phenomena such as things suddenly falling over while writing the script and while filming.
We hope you will relive this experience at the cinema! Director: Kim Suzyn Cast: Lee SunBin, Kim MinSeok, Han SooAh, Ryu Gyeong Su, Jeong Ik-ryong and others
