The episode, which aired on the 5th, dealt with allegations of school violence by Song Ha Yoon during his high school days some 21 years ago. Song Ha Yoon attracted attention for her villainous performance in the drama 'Marry My Husband' last year, but shortly after the work finished airing, she was named as the perpetrator of school violence and was even forced to transfer to a different school, allegedly. She denied all of this, but eventually suspended her activities.
Recently, Song Ha Yoon's side filed a complaint against the first informant, A, on suspicion of defamation and obstruction of business, again asserting her innocence. In the process, Song Ha Yoon's side claimed that A was avoiding the police investigation because of his residence in the US, and stressed the fact that he was "wanted on notice". A also refuted that they were not a criminal, but the expression 'wanted' put a frame of regret on him.
A claimed that in 2004, when he was a second year high school student, he was assaulted by Song Ha Yoon, who slapped him for nearly 90 minutes. Another informant, B, testified that them and their classmates were collectively assaulted by Song Ha Yoon at a high school in Puchon, Gyeonggi Province, and that he was diagnosed with a four-week recovery. They claimed that this led to Song Ha Yoon’s forced transfer to A's school.
However, no records of forced school transfers or disciplinary records were confirmed in Song Ha Yoon's life records department. Lawyer Kim Young-soo stated that "in the early 2000s, before the current School Violence Law came into force, there may not have been any relevant records" and that "even if there are no disciplinary records in the Life Records Department, it cannot be concluded that there was no school violence". Alongside this, he explained that 'consistent statements and witness testimony are the most important evidence'.
The broadcast of the same day also included the testimony of a new witness, C, who recalled that "Song Ha Yoon got angry with A for 'saying bad things to me' and started hitting him with a doll or a cushion-like object, and the bad words and assault continued" and that "I tried to stop him around but he did not stop".
C also said that he 'never saw [Song Ha Yoon] get angry or use violence against people close to them in general' and that they 'can now recall the scene where she shouted, swore and hit me. That's how shocked and very surprised I was", they claimed.
However, Song Ha Yoon’s side still denies all related allegations. They have no records of forced transfers, no disciplinary records, and in some cases, they have stated that they have never directly used violence themselves.
