SUPER JUNIOR member and actor Choi Siwon recently posted a tribute to Charlie Kirk, the head of a U.S. conservative organization who was killed in a shooting, but deleted it after it sparked controversy.

　On the 11th, Siwon posted on his SNS with the comment 'REST IN PEACE', inserting an image of Kirk's face and a cross. He attached the song 'Rescue' by American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle as background music.

　He also posted an additional photo of the deceased with his family, leaving the message “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

　However, this post was deleted a few hours later. This was because Kirk was the founder and president of the right-wing organization Turning Point USA. He had opposed gun control in the U.S., stating things like “Guns save lives” and “Deaths from gun accidents are a reasonable price to pay,” often placing himself at the center of controversy.

　On the 10th (local time), Kirk participated in a symposium at Utah Valley University in Utah. He was shot and killed while responding to an audience question. At the time, an audience member asked Kirk, “How many transgender mass shooters have there been in the US over the past decade?” Kirk replied, “A lot.” Immediately after the audience member countered, “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in the US over the past decade?”, Kirk was shot while attempting to respond.

Against this backdrop, Siwon, who faced a barrage of criticism from numerous netizens, deleted his tribute to Kirk. Despite this, criticism of him continues.
