Yim Siwan attends the production briefing for the Netflix film ”Mantis”

"When I read the script, I thought it was my destiny." A production briefing for the Netflix film "Mantis" was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University Entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 25th.
On the day, Yim Siwan, Park GyuYoung, Jo WooJin, and director Lee Tae Seong were present on set to talk about the film.
"Mantis" is a story that shares the same worldview as the movie "Gil Bok-soon."
It is a spin-off work. Yim Siwan explained why he felt he was destined to encounter the mantis. Yim Siwan said, "Actually, the existence of the mantis appeared in the text of 'Gil Bok-soon'.
"At the time, the director contacted me and asked if I would be willing to voice the character Mantis," he revealed, "That didn't happen at the time, but from that point on, I was given the name 'Mantis',
"When this work was born, I thought it was fate that I would be in it," he said, explaining his connection with "Mantis." Yim Siwan also said, "Even when I read the script, I felt it was fate.
"I thought it was my destiny to really struggle with action scenes," he joked. He appeared on set in a green outfit with dyed hair, and transformed himself from head to toe into a praying mantis.
Teasing the dramatic transformation, Yim Siwan said, "Han Eul is a villain by profession, but has a warm personality," and added, "The contrast between Han Eul, who hides her warm side due to the characteristics of her job as a killer, and Han Eul, who hides her warm side due to the characteristics of her job as a killer, will be revealed."
"The Netflix film 'Mantis' is about a Class A killer, 'Mantis', who returns to the contract killing industry after a long break, where all the rules have been broken, and his trainee days.
The story depicts a battle for the top spot between his rival and contemporary killer, Jay, and the retired legendary killer, Dokko. Yim Siwan plays the role of the naturally gifted A-rank killer, Mantis Han.
He plays the role of Han Wool, a man who is unwavering in the face of scouts from big companies, and instead decides to start a new company with Jay (Park GyuYoung) and become the top of the industry.
"Mantis," starring Yim Siwan, Park GyuYoung, and Jo WooJin, will be released on Netflix on the 26th of this month.
