Singer Kim Gun Mo returns to the stage after 6 years, ”married and divorced”

Singer Kim Gun Mo is back on stage. On the 27th, he kicked off his new nationwide concert tour, "KIM GUNMO," at the KBS Hall in Busan.
Through this performance, Kim Gun Mo returned to the stage and met the audience for the first time in about six years. Previously, in 2019, the same year that Kim Gun Mo announced his marriage, he was accused of sexual assault by a woman named A.
At the time, A alleged that Kim Gun Mo had sexually assaulted him at a bar in Gangnam-gu, Seoul in 2016.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, which investigated the case, concluded in November 2021 that the charges could not be justified and ruled out any charges.
Mr. A appealed the decision, but the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office again decided not to indict him.
Kim Gun Mo, who experienced the pain of divorce through the litigation process, did not resume activities for a long time even after the allegations were cleared.
The production company for the performance, I STAR MEDIA COMPANY, said, "Kim Gun Mo has been practicing intensely for several months, including setting up his personal studio with a sound system similar to that of the concert venue.
In the opening video of the Busan concert, Kim Gun Mo revealed his thoughts on the long hiatus through the narration, "Was it a white space or a deep darkness?"
As he stood in front of the audience with a look of excitement and nervousness on his face, he spoke frankly and matter-of-factly about his recent situation, saying, "I got married, I got divorced, and I lived like that."
He also said, "I wanted to complete the previous tour that was interrupted (due to the aftermath of the problem)," and expressed his ambition to "put an end to it this time, not a comma."
Kim Gun Mo performed a total of 27 songs, including his signature songs such as "Moon of Seoul," "Sleepless Night, Rain Falls," "Excuse," and "Speed."
At the end of the performance, he bowed and thanked the audience.

Kim Gun Mo will be performing at the Daegu EXCO 1st floor on October 18th, at the Suwon Indoor Gymnasium on November 15th, and at the Daejeon DCC Daejeon Convention Center on December 20th.
The tour will continue at venues such as the 1st Exhibition Hall of the Korea Art Center, and is scheduled to perform in Seoul early next year.
