[Official Interview] Exclusive interview with ”OX:N”, a spin-off unit of ”OMEGA X”, ahead of the live concert and fan convention to celebrate the release of their first Japanese single ”SWAY”

To celebrate the release of their long-awaited first Japanese single album "SWAY," the unit "OX:N," made up of members of the boy group "OMEGA X,"

OX:N's first single album in Japan, "SWAY," is a work that frankly depicts the constraints, loneliness, and longings that each member of the band carries, with the theme of "emotional fluctuations."
The title song "SWIRKY" is a song about the desire to escape from the conventional everyday life and set out on a journey to find "your own world." On the other hand, "SOMEBODY" is a song about the desire to find someone to connect with even in loneliness.
The album contains a message to people who want to live freely without being bound by social boundaries or inner conflicts, and this message is conveyed to listeners.
It reaches straight to the hearts of those who listen. Furthermore, the members themselves were involved in writing the lyrics and composing the music for this album, making it a work that fully demonstrates the musical depth and expansive expressiveness that only "OX:N" can offer.
The fan live concert "2025 OX:N FAN-LIVE IN JAPAN NOW & HERE" held in August this year attracted a lot of attention immediately after tickets went on sale, and the venue was packed.
The event was a huge success, with the venue packed with fans from the club. As the sense of unity with the fans grew even stronger, the next stage of the event was to continue the excitement with the fan convention and live performance.
With "SWAY" in the works, we spoke to the members of "OX:N" about their feelings towards the album and their fans, as well as the image they want to show on stage. Q.
I heard that the single album "SWAY" is a work that frankly expresses emotional turmoil, loneliness, and longing. What emotions and experiences of your own did you draw on to create this album?
Jaehan: I wrote the lyrics for the title song "SWIRKY" together with Yechan. I likened the lack of freedom in living a set daily life to a congested road.
From this, we decided to include the meaning of "cutting the strings of ParaSHOO and flying freely in the sky, instead of a set destination."
I wanted to convey the message that by breaking out of the box a little, you can become freer and happier.
YECHAN: The other day, during our schedule in Japan, I arrived in Osaka with JAEHAN hyung.
So I walked around the city without any plans. The feeling of freedom I had at that time made a big impression on me, and it was what inspired me to create "SWIRKY." Q.
The title track "SWIRKY" has an impressive theme of "trying to break out of the stereotyped everyday life."
YECHAN: I've been trying out a lot of new hobbies recently. I've been playing soccer with friends, going to the shooting range on my own, and bowling with my family.
I also learned a lot by working all night mixing the MR (sound source) in preparation for the "OX:N" performance.
XEN: I think the challenge for me right now is to "try not to let my emotions show in my behavior." Q.
There are also songs with the theme of "connecting with someone," such as the record song "SOMEBODY."
Please tell us if there was a moment when you felt a particularly strong connection or bond with your fans. XEN: Recently, I've been particularly interested in the daily lives of my fans. That's why I've been using communication apps.
Through this, I feel like we are sharing our daily lives more than before, and I want people to feel like we are "together."
JEHYUN: Whenever I have the opportunity to meet with our fans in person during our schedules, I feel a strong bond with them.
Q. The Japanese fan live in August was a huge success, but what new side of you would you like to show at this year's fan convention? Please let us know if there are any points to look out for.
JAEHAN: We want to show a more mature side of OX:N as we present new music. Fancon time is the time when we feel free and happy away from our daily lives.
I hope it will be a wonderful day. YECHAN: I hope you enjoy this new stage, which really shows the chemistry between the four of us.
I feel like our colors are starting to come out! Q. When you have time off in Japan, how do you spend time with the other members? What new trends are you into recently?
XEN: I love the atmosphere of Japanese alleyways and cityscapes, so I often go for walks with a green tea drink in hand.
YECHAN: I look for good restaurants near the hotel and eat there, and then I walk around the town. I usually use Google Maps to find places to go.
I often try to do this, but the success rate is about 50% (laughs). Q. Is there anything you would like to convey to the fans who always support "OX:N"?
JAEHAN: I'm so grateful to all the fans who always support us. I'll do my best to show you better music and performances.
I'm running hard, so let's continue to be happy for a long time! I love you, Poegi. YECHAN: [N] After the album release, I took a break and sorted out my thoughts and worries.
