Jang Nara, Jung HaeIn, and Tae Yeon receive government awards on Korea's ”Financial Day”
Actors Jang Nara, Jung HaeIn, and singer Tae Yeon were honored by the government at the 10th Financial Day commemoration ceremony. They are known for spreading the culture of saving and sharing and for promoting the social value of finance.
The Financial Services Commission announced that it had awarded a total of 192 financial development meritorious service recipients at a commemorative ceremony held at the FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul on the 28th.
Since her debut, Jang Nara has donated over 20 billion won (approximately 21 million yen) and received a Presidential Award for her continued volunteer work, including supporting marginalized children.
Jung HaeIn received the Prime Minister's Award in recognition of her ongoing support for children on the waiting list for adoption, donations to Fruit of Love, and talent donation volunteer work with her fan club.
Singer Tae Yeon received a Prime Minister's Award for her support of socially disadvantaged female students, her activities to protect abandoned animals, and exemplary asset management.
"Financial Day" is a statutory commemorative day to encourage the efforts of financial professionals and highlight the social role of finance.
The awards were given in three categories: inclusive finance, savings, and investment.
