KANGTA launches label under SM... first singer is Yim Siwan

Singer KANGTA will head SMArt, a music label under SM Entertainment.
SM announced on the 3rd that "KANGTA will launch Smart and act as executive producer."
SM said, "Smart combines various music genres. It offers differentiated artwork and optimal production solutions that reinterpret K-POP as a cultural content of its own."
"We plan to provide a new sound that has never been seen before in the world, and present a fresh and sensual sound," he explained. The first artist to collaborate with Smart is former member of the group ZE:A,
The artist is Yim Siwan, who is also an actor. Smart will be in charge of producing and producing Yim Siwan's album, which will be released in December.
KANGTA debuted in the music industry as a member of the group HOT, which SM launched in 1996.
He served as an in-house creative director at SM as a non-registered director, and also worked for Creation Music Rights (KREATION), SM's music publishing subsidiary.
He also served as the general producer of SMASHHIT, one of the CICs of MUSIC RIGHTS.
This is the first time they have directly established a label. SM said, "KANGTA is the general manager.
