The movie "Firefighter 2001: The Truth of the Battle" won the Grand Prize at the 33rd Korea PR Awards.
The Korea PR Association (Chairman: Cho Young-seok) will be hosting the 33rd Korea PR Awards in 2025, where the donation challenge will be awarded the Corporate Marketing, PR, and Entertainment Award.
The 119 Donation Challenge Campaign for "Firefighter 2001: The Truth of the Battle" was the first to win an award in the Film and OTT Content category.
The Korea PR Awards has been selecting the best projects from various categories of PR excellence every year since 2003, and this year marks the 33rd Korea PR Awards.
The R Grand Prize will be awarded at 5:30 pm on the 21st at the Sofitel Ambassador in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The awards ceremony was held at the Seoul Ballroom.
The Korea PR Awards said, "Firefighter 2001: The Truth of the Battle" is a film, TV series, and OTT.
The film went beyond a simple theatrical release and was the first to win the Korea PR Awards through the "Firefighter" 119 Donation Challenge PR marketing campaign, in which audiences directly participated.
This has led to a virtuous circle in society. 119 won (approximately 12 yen) from each paid viewing ticket was donated to improve the welfare of firefighters, raising a total of 450 million won in donations.
The actors' spontaneous participation, press and media promotion, viral content spread, and outdoor advertising campaigns are organically linked to create a high level of empathy and generate public interest and popularity.
"It was also recognized and achieved a significant result by being the first film in the film industry to win the Korea PR Grand Prize," he said, explaining the reason for the selection for the top prize.
