Korean prof protests against selling "Rising sun flag design products" at domestic online shopping malls
Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University in South Korea, who is steadily continuing the "Worldwide Rising Sun Flag Elimination Campaign", criticized for selling products with "Rising Sun Flag Design" at online shopping malls in Korea on August 29th. Since the Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty was signed on August 29, 1910, this day is considered to be the day of the "Kojutsukokuzoku" which means deprived of sovereignty.

After receiving information from many internet users, Professor Seo's team conducted an investigation and confirmed that various products with the design of the Rising Sun flag were openly sold at large online shopping malls in South Korea.

Professor Seo said, "Even if a famous online shopping mall offers a platform for 'direct purchases from overseas,' it is wrong to sell products related to the Rising Sun flag design without proper verification. I was shocked when I received information that the company was using the Rising Sun flag design when posting advertisements for its products on large online shopping malls."

He also said, "Since this situation provides an excuse for the legitimacy of Japan's use of the rising sun flag, we ourselves must be careful." In the future, Professor Seo plans to send a protest email to the shopping mall that sells the products designed with the Rising Sun flag that he found this time, and strongly request to prevent a recurrence.

At the same time, Professor Seo continues to send protest emails to Amazon, the online shopping mall most used by internet users around the world, regarding the ban on selling products with the Rising Sun flag design.
