Japan claims sovereignty over Liancourt Rocks for 12th consecutive year - South Korean report

On the 24th, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya said in a diplomatic speech at the regular Diet session that Takeshima (known as Liancourt Rocks in Korea as Dokdo) is "fundamentally an inherent part of Japanese territory, both in light of historical facts and under international law."
