July births increase for first time in four years, marriages increase for first time in nine years in South Korea

In South Korea, the number of monthly births has increased for 13 consecutive months, due to a combination of increased marriages and government support for childbirth. The number of births in July was the highest in four years, and the number of marriages was the highest in nine years.
