Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that an anonymous donor donated 50 million won (approximately 5.5 million yen).
According to Suwon City, at around 9:30 a.m. that day, a middle-aged woman went to the welfare administrative center at Gwanggyo 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
He left a paper bag with questions at the counter of the room and disappeared without a word. The woman, who hid her face in a hat and sunglasses, left a paper bag with a wad of 50,000 won (approximately 5,500 yen) tied with a rubber band.
There was a handwritten letter inside. The letter said, ``I saved 50 million won (approximately 5.5 million yen) from living expenses and accumulated it over several years,'' and ``I am grateful for the hardships caused by the COVID-19 virus.''
I hope that I can be of some help to the various families I face,'' the text read. The center said, ``Sometimes there were people who left snacks, so I thought it would be the same this time, but they didn't pay a lot of money.''
``I was surprised to see that it contained something,'' and ``I will use it to help those in need, just as the donor wishes.''
The donation of 50 million won (approximately 5.5 million yen) left by an anonymous angel will be donated to Suwon City.
It is scheduled to be handed over to the association's welfare council.
