A total of 337 accidents occurred at expressway toll gates from 2019 to July 2023. Of these, a total of 120 (deaths) occurred in high-pass lanes (equivalent to Japan's ETC lanes).
There were 0 accidents and 21 injuries. A total of 257 accidents (8 fatalities, 53 injuries) occurred on regular lanes (equivalent to regular lanes in Japan).
By cause of accidents, 64 were due to failure to pay attention in high-pass lanes. This accounts for 53.3%, more than half of the accidents.

Although traffic accidents are on the decline, many accidents still occur at toll plaza facilities.Especially, as traffic volume is expected to further increase after the COVID-19 virus, toll plaza facilities are becoming increasingly crowded.
We need to establish systematic facility improvement measures to eradicate accidents."
