KAIST announces ”Metaverse Daejeon” vision, allowing visitors to view New York Museum of Art exhibits in Daejeon - South Korea
On the 14th, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) announced the ``Metaverse Daejeon: All Metadata'' project, which represents the future of connecting the world as one city through the Metaverse and communicating and cooperating with people around the world.
The KAIST Ota Metaverse Graduate School's vision was announced: ``The road to Bath leads to Ota.'' In order to realize this vision, we have set the research theme for the next 10 years as ``Meta-Ota''.
The Post-Metaverse Research Center (PMRC) will be opened at New York University in the second half of next year. Metabase is an "augmented virtual world" that connects people around the world and shares new experiences.
The plan is to research a ``meta-museum'' that utilizes the characteristics of the earth. ``Meta Museum'' was created when Ota residents visited the KAIST Museum of Art.
This research aims to create a platform for viewing exhibits at the Lopolitan Museum and watching performances at Carnegie Hall in KAIST's auditorium.
In addition to core technologies from KAIST and New York University, platform technologies from the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) and core technologies from the Korea Institute of Science, Technology and Information Research
The plan is to create a next-generation metaverse by combining the Loss Reality (XR) platform, supercomputers, high-speed networks, and virtual construction technology from the Korea Institute of Construction Technology.
