South Korean opposition party leader denounces North Korea's 'abandonment' of military agreement...criticizes President Yoon's 'strong-versus-strong' irresponsible policy''

Lee Jae-myung, head of South Korea's opposition Democratic Party, said, ``Pulling out the safety pin of peace in an attempt to discipline North Korea is the act of killing a small bull.''

At a meeting of the party's top committee held in the National Assembly this morning, Lee said, ``We are increasing the threat of war.''

He continued, ``Russia has changed its attitude and started providing military technology to North Korea because of our government's hostile policy toward Russia.
"There is a very high possibility that this was due to hostile comments," he said, adding, "In the end, it has become a vicious cycle." Furthermore, ``we must always keep in mind that the first goal of a nation is to protect the lives and safety of its citizens.''
