More than 10 bedbugs found in jjimjilbang in Mokpo city, South Korea

Approximately 10 bedbugs were discovered at once in a Korean-style sauna in Mokpo, Jeonnam, prompting efforts to prevent epidemics.
According to Mokpo City on the 28th, a report was received around 1pm on the 27th that bedbugs were found at a jjimjilbang in Mokpo.
After checking the scene, 10 to 15 bed bugs were found under the carpet in the sleeping room.
In response to this, epidemic prevention authorities have carried out steam sterilization of sleeping rooms.
Emergency epidemic prevention work was carried out. Mokpo City is also checking to see if there are bed bugs in other jjimjilbangs. No additional cases have been discovered to date.
Mokpo City plans to issue a first warning against the jjimjilbang for violating the Public Health Management Act.
