“Raising children is a revolution”… Mothers gather together for the first time in 11 years - North Korea

North Korea held a ``national mothers' conference'' for the first time in 11 years and pledged its will to raise offspring. On the 3rd, the official newspaper of the Korean Workers' Party, Rodong Sinmun, announced that the 5th National Omoni Congress would be ``enthusiasticly celebrated.''
A front-page article titled, ``It is of great significance that the 5th National Omoni Convention will be held at a time when the noble lives of our Omoni are shining with glory and pride.''
The first Omoni Convention was held in North Korea in November 1961, and was held several times in 1988, 2005, and 2012. Holding a conference like this helps to raise safety by emphasizing the role of mothers.
It appears to be intended to encourage children to have children. The Rodong Sinmun newspaper said, ``The convention is a historic great harmony held amidst the passionate love and blessings of the Party, advocating the value of our women.''
