World's first autonomous bus starts operating in Seoul - South Korea

The city of Seoul announced that from 11:30 p.m. on the 4th, it will begin regular late-night autonomous bus service connecting the subcenter and the city center. According to the city, there have been cases in the U.S. of robotaxis operating at night.
However, this is the first time in the world that a late-night autonomous bus that functions as public transportation for a large number of passengers will operate on a regular basis.
The late-night autonomous bus is a central bus-only vehicle that runs from Hapjeong Station to Dongdaemun Station.
The road stretches for 9.8 kilometers. Two large electric autonomous buses with the same specifications as regular buses will be introduced. It operates from Monday to Friday, with the first train departing at 11:30 p.m. and ending at 5:10 the next day.
Complete. One of the two buses will run from Hapjeong Station and the other from Dongdaemun, each running every 70 minutes. The arrival time of late-night buses is displayed in real time on the bus information terminal installed at the bus stop.
