South Korea expands housing support for injured veterans...Minister of Land: ``For young people who were injured while defending the country''
On the 10th, South Korean former Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Won Hee-ryong inspected the Hero Youth Housing in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. This housing is a special housing facility for disabled veterans who became disabled while serving in the military.
This type of housing is provided by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Seoul City, Youth Injured Veterans Consultation Center, and others. A retired person who was injured and discharged, but is in trouble because the government does not recognize him as a meritorious person.
This is the first housing support project to encourage military personnel to reintegrate into society. The residence is located in an office building near Shinjeong Station on Subway Line 5. LH purchased seven homes in the same building and allocated them to wounded veterans.
I guessed it. In addition to being able to move in at a rent that is lower than the market price in the surrounding area, you can also receive services such as legal and reward counseling and job introductions. Residents receive support from the Seoul Youth Injured Veterans Counseling Center.
Priority was given to young injured veterans living in inappropriate living conditions such as semi-basement or boarding houses. Mr. former met with the residents and said, ``We owe a debt to the young men who were injured defending our country,
``I'm glad that I was able to repay some of my debt,'' and ``I would like to use this project as an opportunity to work with related organizations to further increase the number of homes for heroic youth.''
LH President Lee Han-joon said, ``In order to fill the blind spots in housing support, we are working closely with the Ministry of Land and local governments, etc.''
I look forward to working closely with them."
