South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa issued a joint statement saying, ``North Korea
"We strongly condemn the ICBM and other ballistic missile launches that took place on the 18th." He continued, ``North Korea's repeated provocations seriously threaten peace and security on the Korean Peninsula, in the region, and internationally.''
``This missile launch, which was carried out without prior notice, also threatened the safety of civil aviation and navigation in the region.''
``These recent ballistic missile launches are a blatant violation of numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions,'' he said, adding, ``North Korea is continuing its illegal missile program.''
"We are once again keenly aware of the need for all countries to fully implement the Security Council resolutions regarding North Korea, which prohibit the acquisition of technology and materials for the advancement of North Korea."
The foreign ministers of Japan, the United States, and South Korea said, ``We call on North Korea to comply with these United Nations Security Council resolutions and immediately cease all acts that violate them.''
He added, ``We reaffirmed that the U.S. defense commitments to Japan and South Korea are as strong as iron, and that they are supported by all possible forces, including nuclear weapons.''
The three countries also welcome the normal operation of the North Korean missile warning information real-time sharing system and the formulation of a multi-year trilateral exercise plan.
