Spokesperson Kim Soo-kyung held a press conference at the presidential office in Yongsan this afternoon and said, ``The government plans to do everything possible to prepare for next year's budget so that it will be executed from the beginning of the year.''

This is approximately 300 billion won (approximately 33 billion yen) less than the government's proposal (656.9 trillion won, approximately 71.976 trillion yen).
Spokesperson Kim Soo-kyung said, ``Next year's budget bill will be on a sound fiscal base during the parliamentary deliberation process.
``We have significantly increased funding for support projects for the civilian economy and the vulnerable, including small businessmen, farmers and fishermen, young people, and the disabled.''
He continued, ``In the case of research and development (R&D) budgets and Saemangeum-related budgets, we will listen to the voices of the people in the field while adhering to the purpose of the government proposal.
"We have supplemented the necessary parts," he added.
