外国人留学生を「無差別に暴行」した韓国人の男を追跡中=韓国
South Korea is tracking down a Korean man who ”indiscriminately assaulted” a foreign student.
Police launched an investigation after receiving a report that an international student had been assaulted by an unknown man. According to police on the 16th, Seoul Dongdaemun Police Station arrested a Singaporean national in his 20s.
We are tracking an unknown man who is suspected of assaulting a woman, Ms. A. Mr. A, a foreign student attending a university in Huigyeong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, has currently been living in South Korea for four years.
Mr. A was assaulted by a man he did not know while crossing a crosswalk in this area around 4:30 pm on the 12th of this month. After crossing the street, I felt someone's presence and raised my head, when a man punched me for no reason.
He allegedly punched her in the face four or five times. Fortunately, citizens who were nearby stopped the man, and Mr. A was able to leave the area and report it to the police. However, by the time the police arrived at the scene, the man was already there.
It was determined that he had fled the scene. There was a CCTV (security camera) in the store in front of the crime scene, but it was not working, so the situation at the time of the crime was not captured.
Mr. A is asking for help from those who witnessed the crime through the online community for university students, Everytime. Mr. A said, ``I was crossing the crosswalk normally.''
Inside, a man who was standing on the opposite side punched me in the cheek and nose area without saying anything. I was so surprised that I couldn't even raise my voice.''He added, ``I was afraid that no one else would suffer the same damage.''
I wrote this after thinking about it many times. "We are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage that will help the police with their investigation."
Meanwhile, police plan to identify the suspect's former identity through CCTV tracking in the surrounding area.
