Fourth case of Serious Disaster Punishment Act occurs...Law applied to Hyundai Steel's former contractors and subcontractors = South Korea

In the case of Hyundai Steel, a former contractor, in 2022 a worker was killed in an accident at the Dan Jin (Karatsu) factory.
It was the first time a company had been referred to prosecutors on suspicion of violating the Serious Disaster Punishment Act, and in December of last year it was investigated after another fatal crash occurred at its Karatsu factory.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor will immediately begin an investigation into the cause of this accident and whether it violates the Serious Disaster Punishment Law or the Industrial Safety and Health Law, and will take strict measures.
