Actor Song Seung-hyun from the band FTISLAND has announced his retirement from show business.

On the 15th, Song Seung-hyun said, "I would first like to express my apologies to the fans who have been waiting for my long rest", and said, "I am sorry and thankful once again for not being able to facilitate communication and for the fans who waited for me without any news".

He continued, "I will leave the entertainment industry after much distress and perhaps leave Korea to try to live a new life".

Meanwhile, Song Seung-hyun joined FTISLAND in 2009, but left FTISLAND to focus on acting as soon as his exclusive contract with his agency ended in 2019.

Hello, everyone. My name is Seung-hyun.

I would like to first apologise to my fans who have been waiting for my long break since I left the company recently, without much SNS.

I am sorry once again for not being able to communicate smoothly and for the fans who have waited for me without any news.

After much consideration, I would like to leave the entertainment industry and perhaps leave Korea to live a new life.

Four years have passed since I left the team 'FTISLAND' to work as an actor, but more than a new job and a new environment, the hardest thing was the uncertain waiting and human relations, not knowing when it would come.

Whatever I do, there will never be anything that says easy job or easy people relations, but I would like to try a new healthy and regular life that I can run every day for me.

I really wanted to say thank you to all the fans who have been waiting for me, more than anyone else. I hope that you too will always live a happy and healthy life together, both physically and mentally.
