While Song Seung-hyun from the band FTISLAND has announced his retirement, it has emerged that the reason behind this is because of marriage.

According to a media report on the morning of the 20th, Song Seung-hyun will marry his long-time girlfriend in June. After the marriage, Song Seung-hyun plans to take over the family business of his girlfriend's father, who runs a restaurant business in the US.

On the 15th September, Song Seung-hyun announced his retirement from show business on his SNS. He said, "I'm leaving the entertainment industry after a troubled time and will probably leave Korea to live a new life", adding, "It's been four years since I left the team 'FTISLAND' and worked as an actor, but what was harder than new things and new environments was the uncertain future and relationships that I didn't know when they would come. There will never be easy things or easy relationships no matter what I do, but I'm going to try a new healthy and regular life that I can run every day for me" he revealed.

He continued, "I really wanted to say thank you more than anyone else to my fans who have been waiting for me, and I hope that you too will always live a healthy and happy life together without getting sick in body or mind".

However, the rumors of Song Seung-hyun's June wedding have emerged, and some people have reacted that marriage may have played a major part in his decision to retire from show business and go to the US.
