15 people killed in fire at high-rise apartment building in Nanjing, China...Fire may have started in electric bike storage area - Chinese report

A fire broke out in a high-rise apartment building in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, killing 15 people. According to an announcement from the city government, the apartment complex "Mingshang Xiyuan" in the city's Ukadai district
A fire broke out in Building 6 at 4:39 a.m. (local time) on the 23rd. The fire was extinguished by around 6 a.m. the same day, and all rescue work at the scene was completed by 2 p.m. the same day.
The fire killed 15 people and 44 people are being treated in hospital. Of the 44 people, one person was seriously injured, one person was seriously injured, and the remaining 42 people had relatively minor injuries.
Authorities also evacuated 516 residents who were unable to stay in their homes due to the fire to five hotels.
According to the Nanjing City Fire Department, the fire appears to have started in an electric motorcycle storage area on the ground floor of the building.
Jiangsu Province has assembled an investigation team and is investigating the cause of the fire and who is responsible.
