Two children hit on apartment grounds in Shanxi province, China... Woman escapes but turns herself in - Chinese media

Two children were hit by a car on the grounds of an apartment building in Shanxi Province, China. The driver fled the scene but was later taken into police custody.
According to an official document released by the local police on the 4th, at around 1:45 pm on the 3rd (local time), the couple was playing on the grounds of an apartment building in Baode County, Xinzhou City, Xinjiang Province.
Two children, ages 6 and 9, were hit by a car driven by a woman. A video posted online shows two children playing while squatting being hit by a car.
When Dai-san made a U-turn, he hit two children, but he didn't get out of the car, and instead backed up the car and hit the children again. In the video, Dai-san never got out of the car.
After staying there for a few seconds, he fled the scene. According to police, the man later turned himself in to the police and is currently under investigation.
One of the children suffered minor injuries and the other serious injuries, and both were hospitalized for treatment.
