On the 10th, the Hainan Maritime Search and Rescue Center announced that it had recovered the bodies of six crew members from the sunken fishing boat, which collided with a container ship on the 3rd off the southwest coast of Hainan Province, China.
The accident occurred at around 12:15 a.m. on the 3rd (local time) when the Chinese fishing vessel "Guangnan Aoyu 36062" and the Panama-registered container ship "SITC
The collision occurred about 60 nautical miles west of the port of Sanya on Hainan Island in the province. The fishing boat sank and eight crew members are missing.
At around 9:30 a.m. on the 9th, several divers conducted a search on the ocean floor and discovered the bodies of six people from the sunken fishing boat.
By around 8:10 p.m. on the same day, all six bodies had been pulled onto the ship and transported to the port of Sanya. The whereabouts of the two crew members are still unknown, and the center is still investigating today (10th).
They said they would continue the search operation.
