A middle school girl in Hunan province, China, jumps to her death on school grounds... Parents say ”Teacher abused her” - Chinese media

On the 9th, a person in China who claimed to be the parent of a female student attending a junior high school in Changsha County, Hunan Province, posted on social media that "my daughter jumped to her death from the 5th floor of her school on the afternoon of the 8th."
The poster claimed that a female student had been physically assaulted by her geography teacher during the first class on the afternoon of the 8th.
In response to this, prefectural authorities released an official document on the evening of the 9th.
According to an investigation team from the prefectural authorities, a female student fell from an upper floor of a junior high school building in the prefecture at around 1:50 pm on the 8th (local time) and died.
The girl was taken to the hospital, but was confirmed dead at around 3:50 pm on the same day. The Public Security Bureau and the Education Bureau are currently investigating the incident.
A person related to the county government told the Chinese media outlet "Pengpai News" that "the teacher warned the students (before the female student jumped)
"It is true that I guided the student, but there was no violence," he said. As of the afternoon of the 9th, the Education Bureau had not commented on whether the teacher in question had committed violence, only saying that "the Public Security Bureau is investigating."
