Police were called in by witnesses and analyzed CCTV footage from the area, making an emergency arrest of suspect A at around 8:30 p.m. on the same day.
The investigation revealed that 30 minutes prior to this crime, suspect A had assaulted another woman in her 20s in the vicinity. The woman escaped from suspect A and reported the incident to the police directly.
The two victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and are not in any danger of dying, police said. Police applied for an arrest warrant for suspect A today on suspicion of robbery, rape and assault.
