The brand provides a compensation sales service that allows customers to purchase vintage items, and is a hot topic. The CEO of Younhwe, Noh Him-chan, saw the potential of this business when he was studying abroad in Germany and saw young people in Europe looking for vintage items.
After that, CEO Noh said, "I collected 3,000 used clothes through online secondhand clothing sales in Korea, but 90% of them were difficult to sell.
"When we operated the stores, they sold so much that we ran out of supply," he said. The business model of collecting and reselling after distribution was inefficient because it was difficult to match supply and demand.
For this reason, we decided to focus on resource circulation from the production stage onwards in our clothing manufacturing. As soon as we established a system for authenticating genuine products and selling them in return, we started to sell them as a secondhand clothing brand.
Currently, the company operates stores in famous department stores such as its flagship store in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul, as well as the Galleria Department Store Luxury Hall.
CEO Noh said, "The 150 companies that are affiliated with this brand will expand overseas through our branches in China, Indonesia, Japan, and other countries.
This will create a synergistic effect along with the growing global demand for used clothing."
