In response, President Yoon said, "In the current situation where the international situation, including on the Korean Peninsula and in the Indo-Pacific region, is becoming unstable, I would like to promote close cooperation between Japan and South Korea, and between Japan, the United States and South Korea.
The two leaders also shared views on their respective countries' responses to North Korea, and called for close cooperation between Japan, the ROK, and Japan, the United States and the ROK on issues related to North Korea.
The two countries will continue to hold summit meetings this year to maintain the solid relationship of trust that was built through seven summit meetings last year and the friendly atmosphere that has been created between the two countries.
They agreed to continue communication at the diplomatic level and work to further develop relations between the two countries.
