Air Seoul becomes first airline to offer 0 won infant fare on all international routes (Korea)
South Korean low-cost carrier Air Seoul announced on the 23rd that it would be waiving infant fares on all international routes in May, a first in the airline industry, to mark Family Month.
In South Korea, the total birth rate last year was 0.72, the lowest since statistics began, so Air Seoul has announced that it will "join efforts to overcome the low birth rate."
The period for purchasing tickets for the "0 won infant fare" is the month of May, and the boarding period is from May 1st to October 26th.
An Air Seoul official said, "This decision was made to meet the expectations of our customers as members of society and to provide them with a happier travel experience."
"We won't end with the launch, but will continue to undertake a variety of initiatives that are only possible because we are an airline."
