In an apartment complex in South Korea, a male elementary school student followed a female student to a nearby apartment complex and asked for a sexual relationship, but the incident ended in failure. The perpetrator's parents were preparing to move out.

As the controversy spread, A-kun's parents put their house up for sale in order to move. The director of a nearby cram school told the media, "All the parents and students know who the perpetrator is.
"It will be difficult for them to continue living in the apartment," he said, adding, "I heard that the perpetrators have put the house up for sale. It seems they haven't moved out yet."
According to a public statement from the apartment residents' representative meeting, Mr. A, a student at a nearby elementary school, had been engaged in sexual assault with a female student in the lower grades.
While walking around, he said, "Let's play sex games," and asked, "I'll give you money. How much do you want?" When the girls asked, "Why us?" he replied, "The other kids are with their mothers.
"It's not okay because we're together." After that failed, he took an 8-year-old boy who had gotten out of his school car to a playground and showed him his genitals, saying, "Show me yours."
When the child ran away and entered an apartment complex, he followed him, got on his knees and begged him to go somewhere without security cameras, then exposed his genitals again.
When this incident became known, parents became increasingly concerned and police patrols were significantly increased.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said it patrolled the apartment building from 2:30 pm that day using two vehicles from its mobile patrol unit and 10 members of its special forces unit.
On the other hand, the legal profession believes that because Mr. A is in the upper grades of elementary school, he is a juvenile delinquent (aged 10 to 14) and is not subject to criminal punishment.
If they were adults, they would be charged with attempted indecent assault, public indecency, and communicating with others for the purpose of sexual exploitation under the Act on the Protection of Sexuality of Children and Young People, but because they are criminally minors, it is difficult to punish them.
