Korea holds special exhibition of Hangeul cultural products in 10 countries including Canada and Germany
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Hangeul Museum, and the Korea Education and Culture Foundation will hold a "Special Exhibition of Hangeul Cultural Products" at Korean Cultural Centers overseas in 10 countries.
Following one country (France) in 2022 and four countries (Kazakhstan, Osaka, Hong Kong, and Argentina) in 2023,
In order to actively respond to the interest and demand for singles from people around the world, the event will be held in 10 countries this year, including Canada (April), Turkey (May), Germany and Mexico (June).
The exhibition will be held in Vietnam and the Philippines (July), Shanghai and India (September), South Africa and Sweden (October), among others.
First, from April 26 to June 28 at the Korean Cultural Center of Canada (KCC) Gallery in Ottawa, Canada.
The exhibition will feature 31 innovative Hangeul cultural products unearthed through public competitions (2019-2023).
A wide variety of content including "ceramics," "games," "fashion jewelry," and "consumer goods" is available.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to try out Hangul blocks and dominoes. On the day of the opening ceremony on the 26th, 50 people will attend the cultural center.
A Hangeul cultural product presentation event will be held. Ahn Seung-seop, head of the planning and operation department at the Hangeul Museum, said, "We are planning to diversify the cultural center's exhibitions so that people around the world can become familiar with Hangeul.
"We plan to provide extensive support to this end," he said, adding, "We hope that the value of Hangeul, which is original and scientific, as the root of K-culture will spread throughout the world."
