Democratic Party of Korea: ”President Yoon's response to public opinion in the general election is 'communication'”… ”When will he respond?”

The Democratic Party, South Korea's largest opposition party, released a statement on the 30th, the day after a meeting between party leader Lee Jae-myung and President Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "President Yoon has been a leader of the people.
"When do you intend to respond clearly to the will of the people in the upcoming general election for the Diet?" the Democratic Party's chief spokesman said at a press conference that morning, "Responding to the will of the people in the general election is the best way to communicate."
"Yesterday's meeting was meaningful in that President Yoon and Representative Lee met, but it fell far short of the public's expectations," he said.
Moreover, President Yoon, as the highest authority in national politics, did not respond to the questions from the public that were conveyed through the leader of the main opposition party."
The chief spokesman said, "President Yoon has simply repeated his previous position regarding the will of the people in the general election.
"With such a relaxed attitude, I am concerned about the future of national politics," he said, adding, "He has not shown any intention to change the tone of national politics and restore people's livelihood."
He continued, "The people's patience will not last much longer. I hope that President Yoon will not test the people's patience."
"The Democratic Party will do its best to carry out the will of the people in the general election," he added.
