”Onion Man” New Party Leader: ”We did not receive support from the Democratic Party”... ”We will not be a satellite party in the future” = South Korea

On the 30th, Cho Kuk, aka the "Onion Man" and former Minister of Justice of the Fatherland Reform Party, told party officials, "We have a firm cooperative relationship with the Democratic Party of Korea (MDK) and a productive competitive relationship.
" Chairman Cho made the remarks during his first morning meeting with party officials at the party headquarters in Seoul on the same day. Chairman Cho said, "The Fatherland Reform Party has received support from the Democratic Party for both the launch of the party and the election.
"We are not a satellite party of the Democratic Party. That will not be the case," he said. "The launch of the party and the elections have not been based on the grammar of Yeouido, but have always believed in the people.
"I want everyone to keep this in mind," said Cho. "We will not rely on existing political engineering in the future," he said. "I want everyone to work hard with the attitude that one person exerts the power of 100 people.
"We can't have bureaucracy, with its barriers of authority and shifting of responsibility. We must listen to the voices of the people and constantly communicate with them," he said.
"I am wary of becoming accustomed to things and am looking for new ways to be unfamiliar.
