Ukraine war ”revitalizes North Korean economy”... Russia is behind it

"North Korea's economic situation has improved significantly in recent months thanks to supplies of food, raw materials and oil from Russia," the report said.

The reason why North Korea has become closer to Russia is the Ukraine war that began in 2022. Peter Ward, a research fellow at the Se Jeong Institute, a private research institute in South Korea, said:
"The war in Ukraine has brought great benefits to North Korea," he said. Last month, Russia announced plans to extend the mandate of the UN panel of experts that monitors the implementation of UN Security Council sanctions against North Korea.
