Indian Enforcement Agency cooperates with Binance and other exchanges to recover funds from fraudulent apps
Indian law enforcement agencies, with the assistance of cryptocurrency exchanges including Binance, have seized more than $10.5 million in crypto assets from online fraud apps.
According to Cointelegraph, on the 2nd (local time), the Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Binance, ZebPay, and WajilX.
In cooperation with cryptocurrency exchanges such as zirX, the company traced funds linked to the online fraud app "E-Nuggets" and uncovered $10.5 million worth of cryptocurrency.
The online gaming app "E-Nuggets" has seized $10 million (approximately $15 million) in cryptocurrency wallet accounts spread across three cryptocurrency exchanges.
The Enforcement Bureau contacted the exchange in question and requested that it block the wallet address and transfer the cryptocurrency assets to the institution's wallet.
According to reports, the E-Nuggets app disguises itself as a gaming platform and claims to offer users a huge return on their investment. The app presents a promising investment opportunity.
The app was designed to allow users to place bets while playing games, but once they invested money the app would disappear, leaving investors with no way to get their money back.

Khan and his accomplice, Romen Agarwal.
Agarwal has been arrested and is currently in custody.
