President Yoon holds press conference to mark second anniversary of inauguration at presidential office today (South Korea)
South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol will hold a press conference to mark the second anniversary of his inauguration at 10 a.m. on the 9th at the Presidential Office in Yongsan.
Presidential Spokesperson Kim Su-kyung said at a briefing on the 6th,
"Prior to the press conference, I will first explain the tone and policy situation of the past two years of national administration through a video in my office, and then announce my plan for the next three years of national administration."
President Yoon will then move to the briefing room and hold a press conference to answer questions. President Yoon recently told his aides, "I will give you some advice on the questions that the public really want to know."
President Yoon is expected to be asked questions on a wide range of topics, including diplomacy, security, the economy, civilian life, and political issues, according to a presidential office source.
The press conference is said to be planned and is expected to include a statement on somewhat sensitive topics such as the special prosecutor's bill for Mrs. Kim.
President Yoon's press conference will be his first in one year and nine months since his 100th day press conference in August 2022.
Instead of holding a New Year's press conference, he revealed his plans for the new year in a special interview with KBS. There was no time limit or topic for the Q&A session, and the moderator accepted questions from various media.
It is planned to do so.
