Actor Kang Dong Won has made a profit by selling the land and building in Gimhae, Gyeongnam that he had given to his parents.
According to a Korean media report on the 9th (today), Kang Dong Won was born in his hometown in 2008.
A piece of land near the Yulha River in Gwangdong-dong, Gimhae City, South Gyeongsang Province, was purchased for approximately 170 million won (approximately 17 million yen). The price per tsubo of land is approximately 2.55 million won.
Kang Dong Won bought the land under his own name and started construction on a new building for his parents to live in. The building was completed in 2009 and is now owned by him alone.
The ownership was registered in his name, and the building expanded to 67 pyong in size and 128 pyong in total floor space, with one basement floor and three aboveground floors. The first floor was operated as a cafe by the family, and the third floor was used as a residence for the parents.
It was revealed that he paid close attention to everything from the construction to the interior design. Later, in October 2020, the ownership of the building was sold for 970 million yen.
The company then sold the shares to the next buyer for 100 million won (approximately 97 million yen). The market profit was about 400 million won (approximately 40 million yen), which is about 1.7 times the market profit over the past 10 years.
